You need a partner they said,

But didn’t teach the rules you must abide by!

You need a companion they said,

But didn’t give you the space.

You need a friend they said,

But didn’t let you open up when needed!

You need a family they said,

But didn’t teach you need to follow the command!

You need parents they said,

But didn’t tell you how messy it can get!

You need to get a life they said,

But didn’t tell you might have to leave everything behind!

They just told what to do,

But never asked what you want to do!
